Initially I wanted to mount the battery at the front, under the bonnet, but space is limited there and I really liked the battery box solution I saw on the net. Also it improves weight distribution front-rear a bit and gives the battery a lower center of gravity.

Also had to make a main power safety switch - fits exactly between the seats.
