It's worth playing around on the comparison websites to massage the quote and then phone around to some brokers. I have found EndsLiegh to be very good for my kids.
My son passed his test as soon as he was 17 and the best quote we could get was £2450 for a 1.2 Corsa. Adding myself or my wife made it even more expensive as we both had non fault claims. By adding Grannie (without her knowledge) to his policy brought it down to £1500. Just shows what a big difference a small change can make.
He is now 20 and his price is now £505, again with EndsLiegh insurance, but in an unmodified Corsa 1.2.
