I have noticed a number of rebodies on ebay still registered as the donor, The latest is an NG TA registered as an MGB that the seller says has been owned by a policeman and there has never been a problem MOT or registering it. What is the situation if ,say, an ANPR camera policeman asks ' Why is this MGB obviously not an MGB. Or why does this Spitfire look like an MGTF?'
Is there a 'Grandfather rights' thing on older cars, or are there actually a lot of people driving around in illegal and uninsured cars. BTW the NG can't be a body swap as it has a new chassis. Is it a big job to re register an already converted car once it has been bought?
