I know what you mean about an unknown engine. I had a new Rover training engine and never new what the Rover trainees had been up to. A couple of oil seals put in the wrong way round and a couple of bits missing was all that was wrong.
When the car is ready, I'll post a couple of pictures. I'm going for a black/little red theme.
