In the wife's convertible Lexus the belt passes under a leather strap atop the seat in the front ( pretty sure that is just to make it easy accessible and so it can be moved for rear seat access, but maybe an option.) If you could post some pix it would be good, some way of locating the shoulder belt would be good, it would prevent it from slipping off and probably make it more comfortable to wear.
