Default Choice of BMW Engine

If you go beyond M52Tu into M54 territory, the "Fly by Wire" accelerator is not accepted under IVA (Quote GKD), so you have to fit a cable throttle conversion - which then requires a new ECU................and how does that drive the Dual Vanos?

Its easy upto M50TU (steel block, single Vanos), and M52 - (alloy block , single vanos with EWS delete available), its possible with M52TU alloy block, Dual Vanos) with all the necessary loom and ignition barrel and keys, and possibly binnacle, but then.............?


Has anyone fitted an M54 onwards in anything other than a BMW shell, and run both Vanos successfully?
