Picked up some 1964 "B" reg plates from Ebay for £60 +£80 transfer. Transfer took 2 days, it has to have an MOT but does not need to be taxed or insured. Makes transferring plate very much easier. NI plates always stick out to me, hopefully "B" reg plates on an old looking car will stop me getting pulled for having black and silver number plates. I have always run "small" numberplates on my bikes and have never had a tug, but they are always in the correct font and never miss spaced. I think Plod are more interested if they are hard to read or understand. I mean come on, if they can't be bothered to attend burglaries they shouldn't be to bothered about a wrong coloured numberplate unless they are really bored.
