The re register / rebody process is still free, just done my 250 TR .
I think the body would work over a Lotus 7 style chassis, depends if they would let you have a body on its own, I would hope so.
If you go on the MEV forum there is a Replicar video showing one remodelled to look more Testarossa, still got crappy chrome wires and big seats though.
