I played with the balance, and found the pads gassed and faded regardless - my brother had exactly the same issue with them on the Clio. I could smell the brakes inside the car, and the inconsistency was spooky - I'd be able to stop really well on one corner, then barrel into the next expecting the same retardation, but have significantly less, consequently run wide and brush the cones. Have EBC changed the compound I wonder, as I found the pads less consistent than the mintex 1144 pads I was using previously, which is not what I was expecting after your experiences.
