I think because driving a Z3 is nothing remotely like driving a cobra.

It's not only about the looks but the driving experience. The Sumo is not a bad handling car and can be made to look almost exact if you want to put the work in plus it has the V8 noise and grunt.

The top half of your body is exposed in a cobra, yes you're strapped in but you feel vunerable. I remember the first time I went out in my mates RAM 351cu Cobra - pure adrenaline rush. You get totally battered by the wind (and have ear ache in your right ear after a decent trip) - it's all a bit fire and brimstone - like a lairy roller coaster ride. Stuck in traffic the heat soak coming through the tunnel used to cook your right leg in the passenger seat. Rightly or wrongly that's what people will pay for - the looks and the thrill.

Quick summary: you feel safe in a Kobra, you don't feel safe in a cobra!

That Kobra is a really nice looking car - and tbh, I'd rather be in that than a cobra in the unfortunate event of an accident!
