I'm about a six minute walk from Olcott Beach:

so I do get up there now and again on Saturday nights and Sunday afternoons. The "cruise nights" generally bring out between 200 and 500 classic cars (and some of the nicest folks you've ever met, of course); the three main (organised) shows bring over a thousand cars these days - larger than Monterey / Pebble Beach, though certainly
not of that calibre. Still a pleasant day out, and always some interesting stuff - a few London-to-Brighton era cars (now and then I'll take the D D-B, but it's not as fast as walking), an handful of Italian stallions, and countless '60s and '70s American ponycars. Always delightful to see classics out on the road where they belong, rather than under a biostatic cover, inside an environmentally-controlled, hermetically sealed garage.
