What is the issue with the fuel tank? The body shell has a piece shaped to take the filler cap with the tank in the normal place.
Boot space is tight at the back but you can put bi useful storage bins behind the drivers seats.
Spare tyres will fit in the boot if you feel you need one but when was the last time you had a flat tyre while out driving? Carry a can of the spray grunge and it will get you home
