Default iva prep

Aftera long number of years-including those when little was done, I am within iva sights.I bled the brakes yesterday after fitting the new servo 6 months ago, and realised that it was ready for a drive....and what an grin I had on my face.E36 325is engine, it really goes.I need to finish minor details..need reflectors on rear I think, need to adjust castor/camber and general nut covers etc.I am now thinking of the general application, what I need for documents, and hope to avoid Q plate if possible.Any advice?

Hi Jeremy,

you should start by reading a guide called INF26

http://www.dft.gov.uk/dvla/forms/onlineleaflets.aspx

It lists all the documents you need to register your car and to avoid a Q plate you need the donor cars V5.

For the IVA read here.......

http://www.dft.gov.uk/vosa/repositor...)%20Scheme.pdf

The Sportster needs extensive 'sharp edge' treatment but you'll find that all documented on the individual build threads.
