Default 250 SWB Ferrari Original to view

Hi,

Does anyone know the whereabouts of a original 250 SWB Ferrari in the UK that can be looked at in person?

I.E in a museum or on show somewhere? I want to have good look at one close up.

I am off on hols to Italy in the summer and am 2.5 hours drive away from Ferrari Museum where there is one that you can get close up too, however don't want to rely on that single event.

Cheers.

Not sure about the rest of the UK but there is nothing at Beaulieu or the Haynes museum.

Google says there is one in a South African museum if you are heading that way at all...

Talking

Hi Goodwoods a great idea but not sure I am going though this time.

If anyone is can they take like a million photos from every angle and post up somewhere? cheeky I know...!

Also googled all UK museums and such with no success.

There is an auction for a couple just happened and coming up, but might not be seen as a realistic buyer.

Maybe there is a reader of this forum who has a real one and is willing to let me have a look, private PM me if you exist.......hoping!

Cheers.

Some nice detail shots here : http://www.fantasyjunction.com/cars/...%2012-Cylinder

Not the same as staring at the real thing but porobably better photos that I could manage in a museum

I took a couple of videos of a SWB car at the Ferrari weekend at Silverstone last year.
Found out later that it was a "recreation" but it certainly had me fooled. All the lights, dials, mirrors and locks looked like the OEM ones. I would not be surprised if it was one of GTO engineering's at a cool £440k.

The files are quite large so they may take a while to download

Thanks for that, the videos are in large format and are equivalent of millions of photos!!!

I think I saw some of the same car on Youtube and recall thinking there is not something quite right about this car compared to other videos/images I've seen like the fuel filler cap placement, didn't quite align with others, so I had the same first impressions that it wasn't original, but agree its a darn good one!

The parts I am interesting at looking at closer are the small chrome 'lugs' just above the sill area. The front brake vents as I have seen some meshing and adjustment screw in one of the videos, close ups on the lights and positioning and exhaust positioning, in terms of clearance and how far out they come. so just a few aspects.

Cheers.

If there is anything specific you'd like pictures of just let me know, otherwise I'll get everything I can.

Hi, all exterior features including and not limited to the small chrome 'lugs' just above the sill area wonder what they are for and if they come off. The front brake vents as I have seen some meshing and adjustment screw in one of the videos, close ups on the lights and positioning and exhaust positioning, in terms of clearance and how far out they come. so just a few aspects. And anything externally of interest.

Super mega thanks in advance!!!!!

Thanks for the image and the confirmation they cover the jacking point.

Obviously we are talking external detailing here and something like

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Triumph-79...item2c621b31bd

put in place would replicate such covers, but of course have no functional purpose.

Thanks

Funny, they remind me of something much more mundane but I cant put my finger on it.

Just chucked in 'chrome oil filler cap' in Google and there are a number of almost perfect replicas in the way of chrome dress-up goodies for Honda and Yamaha motorbikes. Very cheap too!
