Default pinto flywheel

i bought a part finished robin hood,it has auto box that i want to change to manual.i know nothing about auto,s would i need to change flywheel also. ford pinto 2 litre Cheers Dave

Pretty sure you need manual flywheel, clutch .gearbox,pedal box,or just the clutch pedal and cable.

As redratbike says, with auto's there is no 'flywheel' only the torque converter and a thin disk to carry the starter gear.

Don't 'know' the Ford setup but be careful of the spigot bush, often on auto engines the spigot bush is steel (cheaper?), with manual gearboxes it needs to be bronze or a running bearing. I discovered the difference the hard way after fitting a manual box to a Rover P6 auto engine.

Check out a Haynes manual, you should have pictures of both? I don't have the Cortina Manual.

Tailshaft will most likely be different as will the crossmember.
