The seller has no history and knows very little about it. The car has no ID.
Be careful, it looks cut up and dismantled which it wouldn't be, would it ??
Rings alarm bells for me! The useful mechanical Ferrari V12 and other parts are long gone, why would that be?

I think its cheap ..honestly ...
How much is an Aluminium D Type body nowadays ?
Apparently , according to Chris at Tribute , it was on a later Ferrari chassis that became desirable in its own right and has been restored back to original body status as its value exceeded the recreations one ..
That fuel tank is gorgeous too ..and not cheap !
I can also confirm that 4k wont get you a carved foam buck anywhere near ready to produce a finished body with returns and shuts etc...
If someone has 2 major components from an earlyish Ferrari kicking about or a chassis ..thats potentially a 6 figure car ..Especially if an old Z3 with a glue on kit and a few really nice touches can be valued at £80k.
Right now , its only the same money as one of my kits , if you factor in fuel tank and other bits ...and also about the same price as a Tribute kit .....so I think its potentially a bit of a bargain for the right person ...

No ID or history = alarm bells
Ferrari seized and cut up cars such as this back in the day.
I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole !

Sold for £7,004.00 so at least two people really wanted it. Somehow doubt there'll be a build thread on here though, which is a shame.
Btw, now that many genuine exotic classics are financially out of reach of mere seven-figure millionaires, the market for good evocations/replicas/tributes/call them what you will does appear to be very buoyant and there are plenty of people with money to spend on a 'special' car.

crikey - I may be completely off track, but I'd expect to get an artisan in aluminium to make those new for less. After all - they are replicas, so other replicas may be no worse, and (being new) may certainly be better.

very true. This recreation was in Malta last year:
and these four recreations were there this year.
