Can we keep this a secret please, at least until I buy one
I'm hoping they'll be a bit cheaper in the winter without you guys building nice cars and putting up prices!

I quite like those cills. Bang in three more holes in the long gaps.

When I said I liked the rear end, what I really meant was, I wasn't sure about the front!!!!!
BUT, the red paint has totally transformed it ,and apparently changed the shape too!

To hell with rear now! Fantastic job, makes me wonder did I choose the wrong car to build? !!

Yes.

Many times.

Every time it is different.

At the moment it is claret/burgundy. Sort of like this

If you look at the back wing of the G46 I was originally building you can see the remains of where I tried the colour.

I find it works nicely to show off the lines, better than the default Ferarri red but for some reason I keep getting dragged back to blue...

and then again there is...

Look what you have done now!
Look at your old G-46 now.

Blue is nice me thinks

Yes, it's the Z300S. And just 45 minutes after it's official launch at the Exeter Show we received the order and deposit for kit No.2, a record I think.

Kits are priced at £1995 NO VAT and include the following parts:

- Flip front with internal metal frame, hinge points and latches bonded in (exchange basis with original steel Z3 bonnet).

- Lower front wing panels

- Rear wings / rear panel section

- Internal boot latch/mounting panel

- Boot lid

- Pair of headlight covers.

All of these GRP panels are a direct bolt on replacement for the BMW Z3 panels, making this a very easy conversion.

Typo by Chris - the kits cost shit loads more than that. How else am I going to sell one for 32,000 euro?

;-)

It looks even better in reality than the pictures.

So close to complete.

Now I am off the scour the internet for neat fog/reverse light solutions although I really like SeaNicks 'fog light on a stick' concept.

Great to see your car in the flesh yesterday. Chris and Dan have certainly done the Z3 proud in translating your vision. I am sure that the finishing touches you have planned will add a touch of class to a fantastic looking car.

reverse light? i wouldnt spoil the look of the rear with it! un needed.

as for the fog, have it underneeth the rear bumper on a hinge so it folds up out the way when you dont need to turn it on.

I basically agree Danny. Just considering the options.

One idea was to have a hole cut into the back similar to some of those on the original Maserati, putting a Tow Here sticker pointing at it and then hide the Fog light inside the hole out of sight.

Fog Light Solution.

Stick a hole in the rear end where the tow point is (see image below). Stick the light inside the hole so it shines out to pass the MOT but doesn't really show.

I can then adjust the fog light out the way if I hook up a tow strap when I go racing.

If it looks okay then stick another hole on the other side with a reversing light inside it. Given the rear visibility I DIDN'T have when I sat in the car at Exeter I think a light beam to focus on might prove useful.

Chris - If it looks like it will be rubbish then do what every you think will work.

Stuck in a hotel in Vegas and bored of the whores and crack. Fly back tomorrow thankfully
