If you are doing this, ensure it clears the boot hinge.

Exhaust and wheels and a bit of bonding today.
In between the showers of course.

Loving those wheels, and I see your going for vent delete at the rear, very interesting. Will you be making removable vent covers for the 3 holes at the front? I don't think anybodys done that yet

Just the norm at the front, bit of grill to go behind.
I like the wheels too! Just need to get some big enough spacers to fill the monumental gap.

Well, I guess he is happy with it because I've come home from work and the driveway is empty, unless of course it's been stolen!

So he's running it with just the rear on? How does that look? I was curious how one would look with just the front end on and rocketbunney arch extensions and ducktail at the rear to get a long front/short tail look

Big weekend planned, get the front end on and wired up.
What could possibly go wrong?

First show in four weeks, so that's the target.

RUST, FECKIN RUST

We've found some, front chassis rail, was hidden from view till we removed some parts. Going to slow down the build a bit.
Repair panels are ordered and will be fixed.

That is a shame, as it looks to be coming together nicely. Better to deal with it now though, rather than after you get it painted and think you are all set for fun only.

I read somewhere that the mk2 had added a double skinned chassis rail at the front due to new legislation. And that this becomes a water trap

Mine had holes big enough to fit your fist in, how it got through an MOT I have no idea although they are well hidden. As Barber says, better to get it fixed now and slap on as much underseal as you can manage.
