Chris & Dan - Congratulations on constructing yet another new Tribute model in a short space of time before Stoneleigh.
Surely a few days development is a new record, even for you guys.
It certainly seems to have got a lot of positive feedback, so I hope it does well.
Good luck, Paul.

Thanks Paul, carefully positioning of mould sections on the hard top allowed minimal changes to develop this one.

It uses the original Z3 roof and side windows.

Chris & Dan
Superb looking car, what size are the wheels, they fit nicely under the arches, is it lowered,
Hope you had a good show, and will now have a break.
I'm sorely tempted, need to decide on a colour

I was asking about the red convertible, I'm intrigued because I wasn't expecting the rear wheels to be so far inside on an 02 plate wide body car

Thanks I have a set of 30/40mm lowering springs and shocks, so should be about right, was expecting to have to play with different hubs and discs from the BMW parts list to bring the rear wheels in but looks like I won't have to

Sorry slightly off topic, who owns the blue one above? Tying to find out how to move the petrol cap to where it is. What cap was used, and was it an awkward job to do. Any pics of it being done?
Grateful for any help on this
Cheers Andy

I did mention this to Dan on Monday, but I'd love to see the back end further developed to look more like the 250 Califoria Spider -
It would mean altering the lower edge of the boot, raising it slightly (which would make the back end of the boot a bit more usable), and adding 'fins' to the rear wings.
The fins could be moulded from an MGB, which could also donate the rear lights for a fairly authentic look -
Anyone else think that could work?

As mentioned by WCA, the blue one is mine. If you want to know anything that's not in the Kebab thread, Feel free to ask.
Cheers, Bob.

What would work better is putting the SWB front on an MGB then you have the period look interior.....

Chris and Dan are on to a winner here
There are so many options for changing the body slightly
My wife wants to incorporate the chrome sharks gill trim from the bonnet on my Z3, so if the Ferrari vents were dropped it would look more like a BMW 507

Chris and Dan will have finished the California, the 507 and the MGrarri by Thursday which gives them the whole of Friday to finish my 8C, the Stingray and some alterations to the SWB and still have the weekend off to cure the Isis problem and enable world peace.
Chris, remember our conversation

Am I alone in thinking the convertible looks even better with the roof up?
Really good to see all this development reaching fruition.
