Default So tell me about Donington . . . .

What went on?

Any scandal?

What about new launches?

How did the AMS Murtaya look?

Who was there?

Who wasn't?

the murtaya looked great IMHO

New car from AGM no pics sorry

finished Mirach with pop up headlights

Robin hood conspicuous by their absence according to one manufacturer I spoke to cant remember who the big issue was related to the new owner and the developement costs relating to the 2 new models basically crippling them

Not sure of validity just reporting what was said not trying to start rumours

Sunday was great as their was a kitcar race meet on track

could start a rumour re the martaya but was asked to keep it quiet for now

There is one pic of the Murtaya in the news section, but I'm seeing them this week and will have pics on here (and in Kit Car hopefully).

Andy, I'd be interested in anything you have heard. PM me.
I am aware of a lot of what is going on with this car at the mo. I am also aware of some of the details of the further 'race' model.

The Robin Hood story (I believe) seems to have been told on PH.

Andy, I'm still jealous of you having that Ultima. Wish I could of afforded to buy it off you!!!

Well if that's everything, I don't think I missed much.
I guess I made the right choice wandering round dressed as 'Lord Percy' (from Blackadder) at a wedding! - much more fun than a kit event.

Would have loved to have seen the 5exi.

Mine's still in bitsand untouched this year! Did a deal with the father in law a couple of months back. Now I should have it built over the winter.

PH doesn’t say much (unless I’ve missed the right thread). I’m surprised about that bearing in mind the gravity of that situation.
Den.

Default Murtaya

Am I being thick or does this look like someone has done a 'Pimp my ride' on an ugly car.

And achieved a tremendous success in proving that a car can be made to look worse without too much effort!

I dislike huge grills, about as stylish as a brick wall made of 'common' bricks, no doubt it improves the aero dynamics.

Regards to all non Murtaya builders.

Default No Pics but a link

www.adrenalinemotorsport.co.uk

You will not be impressed, either that or it's still under development.

It's a restyling of the Delfino feroce prototype for the year 2006, or an updated Minari.!

I think the original Minari looked better......

Italo

Look on the 'company' page.....

http://www.adrenalinemotorsport.co.uk/company.htm

And you will see they also own the moulds for the Minari....

If all goes to plan, the news section will have pics by next Monday.

I should be visiting the factory this week.

Trevor

I know that they own the Minari moulds, but the Feroce was the subaru engined prototype, with an updated Minari body.

I never liked the feroce, and this one looks slightly better with the new rear being reminescient of the MGR Coupe.

I still like the original and last version of the Minari, very classical in it's design,

Right, I'm seeing AMS tomorrow afternoon. I will hopefully have a full article printed in Kit Car in the near future and also some pics and info in the 'news section' on here.

BTW the AMS website is very good and tells you a lot.

Now, what else happened at Donington?

Any other interesting cars there?

Default A thing of beauty lasts forever.

Hi all

Looks like Fuoriserie and I share a love for the timeless lines of the Minari, some cars have it without really trying!

Brilliant!
I might be able to get a brief news-flash into the November issue, whilst a proper article space is reserved for the December issue.

Den.

Concerning Donington; I’ve received approximately 6 reports from manufacturers. The following is a slightly edited version of one; and is attributed to Annon to protect the innocent:-
Quote:
Originally Posted by A Typical Manufacturers Viewpoint

He might as well have shouted "FIRE - LEAVE THE BUILDING"! It was genuinely like the place was being evacuated! Few returned and, as a result, there were many disgruntled traders who told Fibly just what they thought.

Then he told exhibitors they couldn't leave until 5pm and, in-effect, locked them in! A few took their equipment, piece by piece, out through the public entrance, which was minded by Fibly who was about as successful at stopping the flow as he would have been nailing jelly to the wall!

Many will not return to exhibit next year. All of Sunday afternoon’s trade was lost. Disgruntled is an understatement.
It’s what I expected/predicted. It’s showing the same signs of decline as was evident at Stafford in its last years. The weather was brilliant, yet visitor numbers were down and fewer exhibitors were present. The only increases were in its prices!

In all honesty, the question is: what chance does any kit car show have when it bans Kit Car magazine and refuses to advertise in it?

On the bright side: Cookie tells me that Exeter is absolutely full with exhibitors (over 50 manufacturers) and that 6 new kit car launches are to take place. See you there on November 18th / 19th. The full Exeter show guide is, as usual, printed in the November issue of Kit Car which comes out on 12th October.

A couple of pics of the Murtaya that I meant to post a few days ago....

I really quite like it I hope it lives up to the attention it's getting.
