If you want to maintain the outline of the marlin, i would have to send these to be printed as my machine will not produce such fine lines.
Or the cheaper option would be to have the marlin as a solid object like the one below. I only used chrome because it was already in the plotter.
These can of course be in any colour you want.

Hi Kerry

This is interesting, but I think there may be some differences of opinion in the MOC as to what is required.

Personally I was only looking for the Marlin lettering in red. Now that you have shown the marlin fish and a background, others may want more, than I wanted?

Question for other owners - what are you looking for?

What would the cost be for 5 wheel centre badges at 62mm, with just the Marlin lettering logo in red on a silver background? If 62mm is too big for others I would be happy to make them marginally smaller.

Is it cheaper to make a batch, or are the costs of production similar?

regards
Mike

The ones i currently make for the Volvo club are also 62 mm. I sell them for £4 each.

They can be made what ever size people want, the ford RS ones that i have done are 52 mm and i have just been asked to make some at 55 mm (in glittery pink)

They are hand made, so i make them as people want them.

Default Wheel / Gear knob badge centres

I received the Marlin logo badges from "Badgeman this morning.

They are very good - and much softer than I expected. I had thought after ordering they may be rigid and not locate on my domed wheel centres, but they are surprisingly soft. With the sticky back they are made with, application has been simplicity itself. Very good.
If anyone is interested, Badgeman will make almost any graphic you give him. His email is:

The 'Marlin' script is not of any particular font. I just happen to know the guy who produced the original for Paul and he tells me it was loosely based on the script that Alfa Romeo used as that was what Paul wanted. It appears that the two knew each other through a sub aqua club.
I spoke with him again this morning at which point he remarked that he may still have photos of the original copper plate he produced for Paul . Hope that's of interest!

I am interested.

Black and red would not work for me though.

Can you do me black on silver with the fish and the logo as per the picture earlier in this thread.(6th Sept 2012) I would want 5 wheel centres at 60mm and 1 steering wheel centre at 40mm.

Or does that mess things up a bit......................??

Thanks for reviving the thread. I have been looking for some of these and forgot about this.

Nigel
