Hi Hun. Erm, that sounds a bit more familiar than I'd intended. And welcome back '66, or should that be willkommen zurück sechzig ud sechs. Hmm, '66. Now that you mention it, wasn't there some sort of footie match in '66?

great news it is still around and being improved all the time.

Must be great fun over there, as there is nothing that is the same as the Spyder!

Good photo by the way, keep them coming!

Agreed. I could watch that bit where the Ferrari makes the overtake all day long. But it's not the speed. Or the way they look. For me it's the sound those old racers make. So much more spine tingling than modern ones.

Oh, and I'm sure a finished Cordite snuck in at about ten minutes ten seconds. The red one making everyone stick their fingers in their ears...

Realy good looking car. How do registrate it in Germany. Is it first registrated in UK an than brought to Germany or do you build iin Germany? Is ist registrated as a triumph herald or as sammio?Do you had any Problems with the German TÜV?

Grüße aus HH

The car was registered in the U.K. as a Sammio Spyder and is a 1959 base model car.
I am assuming that , as a rebody and not a kit rebuild , it was then registered in Germany as an imported classic car ...hopefully ze hun will come back on and explain how he did it as I know getting anything unusual registered in Germany is a problem and if he has done it successfully , then it opens up the way for others to own these cars throughout Europe...

Glück getting a Spyder registered in your homeland HamburgerJung, and thank you for getting this thread back to the top - that's one of the best Spyder pictures I've seen. Absolutely atemberaubend schöne.

To quote a British comedian - Al Murray, aka 'The Pub Landlord' -

You've got to have rules. Where would we be if there were no rules? France. And where would we be if we had too many rules? Germany. And where would we be if you could get a builder who'd turn up when he said he would and do an excellent job for a reasonable price? Poland, that's where.

Hey ladies,

due to the above mentioned German laws, I'm going to sell it for best offer. Might be a bargain...

Interested? Just leave a message: mike.sierra(at)feinripptraeger.de

Of course it still has its v5 registration document (MOT until feb 12) and the UK number plates...

ze hun

Have you considered selling it in France? You could drive through Belgium to get there, no need to ask the Belgians for permission first, they won't stop you.

Or how about Russia? You could arrange a deal with the Russians, meet up in Poland and then renege on the deal.

Towed, this also was MY first idea. But our new government is against such behaviour. Uncool...
