Default Euphoria!

Who cares for words, when there are videos!

It's not perfect yet - the alternator isn't charging (hence slow crank), it's running open loop cos the lambda sensors aren't wired in, and it pulses when left to it's own devices.

Will address those niggles soon, once I've checked all outputs from the other sensors.

In my wisdom, I had a rather amusing moment, when I drove it... my seats aren't fitted at the moment, so i drove it sat on the floor plan..... when the clutch bit in 1st it bit hard, chucked me rewards, clutch bit completely, and I did what was effectively a 3.5k launch down my driveway. Luckily I managed to jump on the brake and clutch, and did a 3m skid to a halt. Jesus did it launch! My friend, who was merrily stood watching, almost wet himself with laughter.

All in all a pleasing day: I've managed a 40m drive (up my driveway... not on the road!), and christened the tyres with accidental wheelspin and locked brakes! Brilliant

Always a good feeling John when you fire her up for the first time. Brings a good smile to your face. Even better when you drive for the first time.

Well done mate.

Thanks for the comments chaps.

Yep - lovely: every time I've started an engine from a scrapper, or following a rebuild, I've been elated to hear it running.

Pleasingly, there are no water leaks, oil leaks, or any suspicious signs. Hopefully I'm not talking too soon!
