Default On the road

The car is MOT'd and taxed and on the road. After a few periods of non activity it is nice to finally get her out and about. Interior to finish but that will come !

It looks great, particularly like the wheel arches. How did you do them?

The front arches transform it. Looks great.

Thanks for the kind words much appreciated. After 100's of hours of work and a few "wish i hadn't started this" it is nice to actually finish. The exterior anyway. The front wings where made at tribute and bonded on. This shell was the prototype for the Mk2 MX5. You can tell its a mk2 by the doors. I am sure Chris could make them up if anyone wants this look. The 17" wheels help .

Can't help but think it would look good with the seanick narrowed rear wings then with some small flares to match the front

After nearly 2 yeatrs you must be glad it is on the road. I think we all under estimate how long it takes and how little free time we have.

Time is the key . Balancing needs of family, garden, house other projects etc makes it hard. you can see why so many become unfinished. I fell out of love with mine on many occasions

Yes you are spot on there Peeps, one must be almost obsessed by the build, (or it would'nt happen) The important "normal life" has to continue, and it always gets in the way!!

It's a beauty, those flared arches are sweet. I have to agree with Landmannn about the amount of time it takes. I brought Grayones MX and it needed a refurb which is taking longer than expected, sourcing parts is time consuming and spending hours just trying to get your wipers right gets you a load of shit from the missus

I'm glad I'm, not the only one with wiper grief!

At least I'm in good compan, and don't feel so bad about my problems now!
