If it was me and I wanted to chop the screen, id just do it without an IVA. It wont fail an MOT!

With reference to the 10 year old term, it initially got me all excited, thinking my altered TR7 wouldn't need to go through IVA afterall, but the following extract from the linked document is key I think;

"In all cases, IVA (whether Basic or Normal) is only required for passenger cars and light goods vehicles
less than 10 years old, which require first licensing and registration in the United Kingdom. "

So from the above you could assume you could import your 10+ year old Z3 from abroad, do your modifications and then register it without the need for IVA but if it is already a UK registered vehicle then you're stuffed!

This is just my interpretation of the above extract, it seems too big a loophole to be real

Oright... I don't know why it's upside down! It's far too long, a bit twisted and looks like it's got two punctures on odd sized shopping trolly castors! What can I say I'm a bit rusty..

Thanks Scottie
Looking forward to seeing yours finnished . Have just resprayed the front end of mine.The sun brought out a few lumps.So before you paint be sure to go over your gel with a hot air gun to see if there is any air trapped in the gel. I did but don't think i got the fibre glass hot enough.luckily I am a DIY painter and had just enough paint left. The plate is from DVLA auctions, worth looking at.

Peepsy - those front arches transform the car and help to integrate the bottom of the door line. It's a great looking car.
