Is the frame steel tubing or folded sheet metal.

Appears to be a home built Locost Seven

Tubing. Trawling the internet I believe it maybe a 1990? Rear h frame suspension too.
It was running a pinto cross flow engine

The tub section is covered with sheet metal and ply I think. Does that make sense?

Yes it does. I'll still say it is a home built Locost, small square tube frame, covered.

There was a manufacturer (no longer in business) that has done one using
Pinto components on a sheet metal brake fabricated monocoque chassis.

I'm funds are limited and want a small project to tinker with. Would this be OK as my first one?
Are you able to change the cortina front to a Sierra ?
