Default K series MG MIDGET (bits needed)

Hi everyone,

Just found this forum, been reading lots of great build tips here -

Im in the process of getting together my 1978 MG MIDGET and replacing the triumph 1500cc with a Rover 1.6 for a 1999 416si,

Therefore there are certain bits which I need for my build, so I thought I would ask here - Im in need of

Type 9 Gearbox
Rover to ford Bell housing
Any help gratefully recieved.

Any reason your not going the T/M/O series turbo route? Not sure of the differences between the Midget and MGB in terms of engine bay space.

If you look at:
www.rovertech.net/forum.

Do a search for the username Funkster. Olly did a MGB T16 turbo.

If the K series route, these sites may give you an idea.

Thank you for the links Ive not heard or considered a T series - although reading quickly it seems a heavy engine compared to the K series - Plus the K fits the engine bay without major changes -

Ive been looking at the frontline pages - obviously not just front line, but the parts needed seem to be soooo expensive -

hence I thought I would ask on here, someone must have some bits laying around?????

Your right jon. The T/O or M series is quite a heavy engine. Just thought I would mention it because you get more power per buck. Especially if you aiming for around the 200 BHP mark.

The problem with going that high is the whole rear suspension needs major tweeking - I just wanted more reliable power with some scope for future fun and games!!???
