Wires have come up lovely. Are they 14's or 15's?

15's with 186/65 tyres.

Was going to go with black again, but do like the look of the silver wires.

Still debating on the final colour of the bodywork

Haven't seen a black one yet. Or broom yellow, although I think Pat was planning to do skippy in yellow.

Whatever colour you go with, I'm sure it'll look great (just don't bother with beige, of course ).

Well at least you went for silver , also a nice colour.
The car is having a tuned 2500 straight six , so should move on well .

Sounds good, and I'm sure it'll sound pretty good too.

I'm pleased with the silver cellulose from Jawel, couldn't have been easier to use.

I've now bought myself a random orbital polishing machine and have started going over it with G3 and distilled water, followed by G10 then liquid polish which is really giving it a mirror finish.

My car's currently laid up waiting for some new front suspension parts to arrive before I put the engine back in while I'm laid up with an old back injury that's come back to haunt me Oh well, at least it looks like we're getting a proper summer at last.

Well at least you can say you built and painted yourself. Just watch over polishing on all rounded surfaces

had a good weekend on the car and managed to get quite a few little bits done so it is starting to take shape.

The seats I am using should fit - just got to make up the hinge mountings for the back seats now.

More pics on my website...

I wonder what the exhaust will sound like? Looking very smart, what colour is this car going to be and are you spraying it again...

I have ordered up the rest of the tubing to make up my own custom exhaust, so hopefully in the next week or so I want to get it wired up and running!

I am still debating on the colour, and might be swaying to a blue this time. I would like to spray it myself, but not sure the missus will put up with the circus tent again!

I think I have nearly everything to finish the car now, so hopefully can crack on over the next few weeks. I would like to try and get it inspected and changed by the end of August and then on the road in September. That's the plan anyway!

Now the bodywork is of a must higher standard than before, you can tell the wife it will be done in a weekend?

Update for this weekend...

Got the radiator and fans mounted.

Made up a new exhaust header and link pipe and a flange for mounting the motorbike silencer I am using

I also started to make up a new bulkhead - since I am using a non-standard pedal assembly and servo it is going to be impossible to use the bulkhead Mike supplies as part of his kit, so I am going to make up a vertical bulkhead.

I did get a lot of little jobs done, like the servo hose, breather hoses, fuel pipes and I got the brakes and clutch bled too.

Once I have painted all the brackets and metalwork I will start to plumb in the engine for good, and I am hoping that if I can doing the wiring next weekend, then I might be able to get it started next sunday. I can then hear what the exhaust sounds like!

Looking good matey, although from my recent experiences with my cooling system, I'm a bit concerned that your fans aren't right next to your rad.

Sorry, but I've been a bit cooling ocd of late
