Talking Hi Everyone

Hi there to all.

Ive just ordered a 250swb kit from ClassicC (Belle and Ian have been very helpful so far) and Chris (naturally) and am looking forward (hopefully) to a trouble free and fun build that will create ultimately something 1. to be proud of 2. stunning 1960's esc Ferrari ish open top....

After an email to Nick yesterday he suggested I join up here and also that I come along to Stoneleigh to meet some of you. (I intended to and shall be there on the Monday)

As I start on this journey (and thanks to all those whove posted build threads etc on here ) can I perhaps impose on you with one simple question and thought....

What is the one thing you wish that youd known before you started? (or done differently?)

Many thanks to all and looking forward to the party!

Hi EP and welcome.
Good luck with the build.

If I'd known... I would have looked harder at donors and chosen one with cruise control.

And A/C! Although probably more needed in the coupe than the soft top

If I'd known - how many people would smile, take photos, come over and talk to you, let you out at junctions..... I would have done it years ago.

If I'd known - just take the plunge and cut off whatever needs to be cut off. You can always rebuild things with fiberglass if you have to. I could probably have cut a few months off my build time if I'd have stopped procrastinating. Also, don't move house or have a baby while you're trying to do it, it just makes getting time in the garage harder.
