da da da daaa . . . . Tanner man!

I know it's not exactly the best shot in the world, but do you really think he was going to pose?

Blimy Mark,
Surely you got a better picture than that – I look like I’d just done 10 rounds with Mohamed Ali (SP?)!
Had you just asked me to buy a round of drinks – as indicated by the furrows in my brow and my horrified expression?

Looks like a caption competition.......

Also looks like Den is a ventriloquists dummy operated by Nigel, with Mr Dean saying 'gottle of geer' through gritted teeth.

I’ll have you two know that I would pose and I’m not old . In fact I’m one of those guys in the “One for the Ladies” link I posted a few days ago.

Well from outward appearances that New Tanner loks a bit smarter, but is there any truth in the claims for the rest of it. I suspect it's the same old flawed chassis underneath. The tie appears to sit a bit high although the manufacturers claim this has been rectified on all customer Tanners.
Mind you not a bad effort from the Sri Lankans.

Question Den . . .

Dressing yourself up, does this mean you are dressing up the Mag too?

BTW, you never did tell me if your missus threw the jumper in the bonfire . . . .

Hi Mark,
I’ve been in a kind of a ‘hole’ for the past four years . Words simply couldn’t express the effect that Fibly’s lies had on me . Dressing myself up was intended as a kind of statement . It worked! Looking good and feeling good are closely related ; and designed to say that “I’m recovered” .
The mag is indeed being ‘dressed up’ too - you’d need to start reading it again to see precisely what I’m saying. The layouts are being revamped over the Dec, Jan and Feb issues. I think, when the Jan 06 issue comes out, you’ll see what I mean .
During 2006: expect to see a slimmer, but better turned-out magazine !
I’ve no doubt whatever that Kit Car has got the best journalists (by a mile !), the customer’s interests at heart and the technical know-how to advise them properly . By the improvement in layout design, the better selection of features (and leaving out certain ‘themes’) I’m hoping that I shall convey a confident message for 2006! It’s no con-job either ! I believe the battle with Fibly is over and the time for restoration has (almost) begun: if it hasn’t already begun. Whether that’s so or not, Kit Car magazine shall continue to be THE industry magazine, and shall lead during the coming year .
As to the jumper – yes, the missus burnt it ! Either metaphorically or literally – I don’t think it matters which! Out with the scruffy, over-sized, image and on with dapper Den and slicker Kit Car .

Den.
PS. The poo is still in the background, but is no longer the focus of attention. Those who want to know about it can read about it without paying for it: http://www.kitcar-magazine.com/fff/Larceny.html

Heck,
I was in a serious mood last night .
What I meant to say was "Yes - the mag is being spruced-up too ! And the scruffy jumper has gone !"

So you managed to get it off before Mrs Kitcarman threw it onto the bonfire?

Have you heard of ‘Puff the magic dragon who lives by the sea’?

Well, I married her ! It’s Mrs Kitcarman (she gave up her maiden name). One ‘puff’ and the jumper went up in smoke! As I told you – I was very lucky to get out of it !!! I only lost my hair (plus the jumper, of course).

Den,

If you are going to keep dragging up the extremely unfortunate incident we had recently please at least be a man about it and allow anyone who is actually interested in it to see all the facts. Whilst your 'Larceny' page is a galant attempt at trying to redeem yourself and to portray to others that you are really a Nice Guy we both know you did it through gritted teeth only once you knew you were going to crash and burn. Thus I and many others will forever see it as nothing more than a financial safety rope rather than a true change of character.

For anyone who wants to see the true Den Tanner then have a wade through his correspondence to me at http://www.lamboreplica.co.uk/cgi-bi...=ST;f=12;t=807

You certainly won't need to pay to read it either, but at least you can make an educated decision on Dens nature without being blinkered by what he only wants you to see. I really have no desire to try and prove whether I was right or wrong, only to provide ALL the facts.

Although I am a great advocate of reform I am absolutely certain that you are one particular leopard who is incable of changing his spots Den.

I won't be adding any further comments to this thread so please dont start another of your wars on someone elses site. You have been warned/banned by various forums so please try not to add this one to your ever growing list.

Mods: Sorry to jump in here with a first post like this but I think the self-perceived clarity of Mr. Tanner is, as usual, being drawn through an overly fine filter. At least your members might now have a clearer view, should they wish to reserve judgement until hearing both sides of a story.

Regards,

Nathan.
