Default advantages of box section over tube and visa versa

hi all
can anyone tell me what the advantages of box section over tube are visa versa when building a chassis?

what are peoples opinions?

Box section is easier to join and fabricate, (cylindrical) tube is much stronger/lighter.

but - they go together --- ease of good joints (strength) with the box.... if you get bad joints with the tube, then you have no strength !

just something to think about

I am buying a tube notcher so that i can get the joins right.
then its just down to making sure i get good welds.
