Default DNAs new model on ebay...

Although a tad expensive for me, someone with with the readys who doesnt know they are going to be mass produced might be interested.....

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/112080666241

Some good ideas for interior for those of you with the tribute swb.

Wow. Serious money but realistically you have no alternative.

Looks perfect - see the rear lights have been de-mgb'd.

Interesting they ditched the wires - The split rim alloys solve the rim depth issue and actually look good all polished up.

Interior perfect too.

Only thing that would need sorting is the tramlines self adhesive chrome strip around the screen (assuming that hasn't changed since Stoneleigh) - not acceptable on 50k car. But that is being pretty picky.

Rear boot gap looks large. Pitched about double its true value.

Never noticed that gap before!

You're a builder - you'll always see value as sum of parts only - it's one side of the equation. You're not the market for that car at the end of the day if you're honest.

Equally you'd have to accept there are plenty of purchasers out there who just want to buy a car, hence the successful kit car dealers out there. They're the ones who'll set the true value. Certainly be interesting to see what happens.

The last Ferris Bulleur replica (V8) that I saw was up for 65k and sold.

but they don't look like the 250 California 😎

there's a saying, a cheap Ferrari is the most expensive
you could get lucky and have no problems with a cheap ferrari but it will still have service costs and parts associated with a top marquee

the car on eBay has made its own dash and door cards, it not a DNA dash or associated bits, good effort ,and it give me the vision it will look like when dna do there interior.
if he gets what he wants for it then good luck to him, iam watching with interest 🤑

Yep - totally understand where you're coming from but it's kind of the same as saying would you rather have a replica Ford GT40 or a real Ford 2016 Mustang. Wish I'd bought a Mondial 3.4T I had my eyes on a couple of years ago at 15k totally mint. Hindsight!!

Looking again at it I'm coming round a little on price. The seats are budget spec for example and actually the wheels don't look as good on a full size PC screen as they did on my phone! He still may nick it tho - remember the 18k unfinished SWB coupe.

Still looks good value against this though: Modena 250 California Spider Replica For Sale (1962) £75k

Who is the person ref'd in the ad that is only making 5 turn keys tho - him or DNA?

The renucci black 250 will have to be iva'd , have import duty added also to that price
Lovely car though, this is what I was aiming for with mine

There's definitely more than 5 turn-keys being built , I think that's all Dna can fit in there unit at the moment!

Hmmm, the seller is in Reading and their sales history involves quite a few Z3 boots and bonnets.......it might be related to Nubodi, but I may well be wrong....and the telephone number is Nubodi's.

I do like this car (the DNA 250) and certainly wouldn't mind it in my garage but think it's a tad over priced. Looking at the one they had at Stoneleigh (was it this one?) and listening to the chap from DNA talking about it I'm sure he said it would cost just over £20k to get to this stage, not including wheels.

The car advertised has been complcompletely built by the customer. He had the first kit that we supplied. He collected it the week after Stoneleigh show. He's done a great job and should be very pleased with himself. He's collecting his second kit in three weeks time !

This might f**k up his chances of reaching the asking price....

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/291836982866

Although the interior does seperate the cars a lot i dont think by £30k...
