I just think he might be due a visit from some Germans in suits.

It really is quite amazing what some people think is reasonable.

Nice pun, getting a 'crew' together to build them. Geddit? Crewe? You know, where they used to have a factory. Oh, never mind.

On a more serious note, rebodying a worn out Roller would surely allow retention of the famous grille and spirit of ecstacy on the bonnet. After all, Muliner Park Ward and others used to coach build the bodies on Rolls chassis, and they all carried the correct badging.

Can't wait to see one with 'AMS 2' on the plates and Rolls Royce Phamstrad on the boot. Perhaps Lord you know who could get some of his apprentices to organise building it. Now that'd be a hoot to watch!

So this is based on an old, massively complicated, hugely expensive to maintain donor vehicle, the manufacturers of which already have a reputation for going to town on people who play around with any of their trademark parts, e.g. The Beast http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rolls-R...ternative_uses

What can possibly go wrong

Edit: and i say this speaking as a 'replica/copy' owner myself. But at least in the case of the Countach, old man Lamborghini actually approved of the replicas!

That's because they tend to be better built than anything that ever came out of Sant'agata Bolognese.

Default Mmmm

Guys, just looking at the thread. Lots of "accidentally" misleading ambiguities in there. Perhaps he's just a "Phantom" kit builder. Personally I don't think he stands a Ghost of a chance.
