'Phoenix' Build
Well, if we are going to do this then we are going to do this properly and as I haven't currently done a build thread then this is a going to be a good learning experience for me.
The full list has been drawn up as to what is required to do so we're going to crack on!
The Phoenix donor is now fully stripped to the Chassis (which looks in extremely good condition) thanks to AndyP57. Tomorrow we are going to put a couple of coats of chassis paint to help prevent rust.
Full list for Phoenix!

I'll just add that once the body came off it was apparent that a recent full rebuild had been done. Not leaving anything to chance though. Everything is going to be checked before carrying on. The chassis itself is in excellent condition so just needed a good clean and treatment with waxoil.

AndyP85 - Good luck with your build thread.
For me, the more detail and photos the better.
So although it is a secret, at some point you will need to mention the kit you are building, the donor, etc.
Good luck, Paul.

Andyp85 - No need to keep the donor or product secret. I won't add to the thread as it's yours but I'll get some photos of the current state of the donor sent to you to post (so you should open an account and start getting used to using Photobucket)

Hi Paul,
not that much of a secret really on here! Phoenix is the Navigator (now Cordite has gone and the redesign happening, all ties to Cordite are severed)
Donor is still a Spitfire 1500 and there will be images of the chassis shortly

I do like that twin exit exhaust. Are you going to shorten the tail pipes or have it sticking out like a drag stinger?

We'll see where the body comes to and adjust accordingly

The matt black looks great on the chassis.
Good luck with the Navigator MkII, it should be a big improvement over the original Cordite.
Good luck, Paul.

It's been a while but work has for the moment stopped on the 'Phoenix' as we have made the rear frame but can't make the front portion of the frame until we have a body ( which is around 3 weeks or so).
I will post any updates as and when they happen!
