Default fuel economy

i wd like to chat about miles per gallon ( being british)
my home made car does 52 mpg on a run
yet will accelerate 0-speed limit in .. ''hang on ''
arn't we getting off the point?
no !
because only though design can this be possible.
you ALL have the unique insight and experiance to make a better car.
even my v8 lambourghini mirage contach(25th anniversary) is SO ECONOMICAL that i just went london to brighton with the veteran cars and the fuel gauge hardly mooved ; some 100 miles! and traffic and cruising.
ok yes it holds a lot of fuel.. but one doesnt want to carry extra weight around and besides its aerodynamic . yes it looks fabulous !!! thats why i bought it.
the robin hood 2b . ok not in the same class .. why not? kit car .. to me looks almost as good and yes the performance is great.economy and acceleration .
forget ''top speed'' .. i mean .. where else other than a race track , maybe a drag strip .. can you go faster than 70 mph?
even my mg midget will doo 95 mph. ok it revving its nuts off and drinking a lot (small tank)... but its a fun car.
my ''regular'' subaru outback lagacy , with its awd and heated seats auto is fair on fuel if you dont right foot it .. did 53 mpg coming back from manchester. yet it goes like a scalded cat if you really want it too.
but i digress . this forum is about ''kit cars''.. its not a kit .. yet performance / economy should feature in ones plans.
''UNIQUENESS'' is what one gets by making it yourself.
ok parts and regs make it difficult but NOTHING IS IMPOSSABLE.
how i hate the word ''CAN'T''
LOOKS ARE NOT EVERYTHING ... VERY TRUE .. I'VE MADE / BEEN IN / SEEN OTHER KIT CARS THAT ARE QUITE FRANKLY ''UGLY''.. yet perform and turn in a great economy too!
yet the other side of the coin is not so smooth
.why have a great looking car thats a golluper on fuel?
HOW I DETEST CHELSEA TRACTORS !!!!!
you know the v8 or more 3/4/5 or more litre vehicles that mums in this area use to take thier kiddywinks to kindergarten!!!!
if that's what education does i'm just plain stupid like the parents!.
so...
LETS HAVE MORE THOUGHTS ON THIS SUBJECT . I'LL TRY TO RESPOND
ALVIN
YES MY CAR IS AS UNIQUE AS MY NAME

I know mentioning the diesel word in a kitcar, makes people gasp. But image a good looking kit car with a VAG diesel pushing 200BHP.
