Oxford build becomes a Devon build
So, after a year of change, a new life starts. My Oxford build will become a Devon build as soon as I get it down here. Having a garage on site should mean swifter progress.
I just have to avoid being distracted by my new Christmas presents -

Congrats and good luck with the move ...There's quite a few West Country builders and enthusiasts , so you are in good company ...whereabouts in Devon have you chosen ?

Oxford - Or should we now call you Devon?
Great to see an update, as I was planning to BUMP your thread to ask for some photos.
I the move goes well and that the tractor doesn't distract from the build.
Good luck, Paul.

Thanks for the responses, chaps. I would expect nothing less!
Gary - I am near Bere Ferrers, on the banks of the Tavy.
I really should make progress once the car joins me. I certainly won't be doing anything to Fergie or Lister until Kermit is on the road.

Yesterday I moved another step closer to resuming the build down in Devon...
In early April I shall lay the base for the new double garage. Heaven.

Nice to here from you.
On the drive down you should have left the cover off so you could show off your work and watch the other drivers stunned face as you pass them !!

Oxford – Great news.
Compared to your trips to the woods, a garage at home will make a big difference.
Good luck, Paul.

mick1mo, molleur, and Paul - it's good to be back on here.
Each time I stopped, I did get asked, "What's under there?" Those that guessed thought it was a Cobra. My standard response in this case is, "No, it's more subtle than that."
Having a garage and the car on site should make those "20 minute jobs" (which take two hours) easier to tick off. When it was down the woods, there was too much add-on time at either end to make short trips worthwhile.

Any garage building updates to report?
( So that I can start nagging you for a car building update. )
Cheers, Paul.
PS
Hope the overall move to Devon has worked out well.

Thanks for the enquiry, Paul. I can assure you building will resume in the near (ha ha) future.
When I swapped stupid Thames Valley house prices for more space, it meant longer boundaries around the property.
In October we were joined by this chap, Sprocket -
He is a hunter so I have had to spend a lot of time repairing stock fences.
Last month we added this chap to the tribe. Meet Steve -
His arrival meant I spent this weekend putting bigger gates across the driveway.
The good news is that I have done the groundwork for the garage base.
The human members of the tribe were keen to help as soon as the hired toys turned up. In fact, they did it all and did it really well...with some help from Sprocket.
Concrete to go down soon. I can't wait.

Oxford - Glad to see you let the car peak out from under the covers to see its new home under construction.
Good luck, Paul.

Sprocket - "Thanks for all the help guys, I'm sure I buried that bone around here somewhere."
