Default Anyone done airbag suspension?

Just toying with the idea of dropping a '30s style body on a modem chassis but need to make it sit on the floor when told yet still be drive able.

Old cars were long wheel base and the only modern stuff with suitable wheel base appears to be crew cab pickups so need to drop the height.

Just dreaming at the moment but please share your thoughts*

* a 4x4 pick up based Rolls Royce Round Door would make a great tow car for a Maseratish 300s**

**especially with a big Mercedes engine dropped in the front

Don't forget that Chris and Dan can build you a hot rod on a more suitable chassis

If you use steering wheel airbags for the suspension they have the added advantage that, in the case of an accident, the driver compartment is shot skywards to safety. And, with your track record, what could possibly go wrong?

This question wasn't prompted in anyway by the vehicle parked outside the Tribute garage when I collected my repaired car yesterday and the model car that Chris was holding when I walked inside....

...definitely unrelated...

...and I never googled Round Door Rolls Royce

WCA - I've already posted this link on my build thread, but just incase you missed it.

http://www.rodsnsods.co.uk/forum/gar...da-b2200-45080

Whilst it doesn't have air bags, it is an old body on a modern chassis.

However, there are some great details on fitting air bags on this build.

In fact, that forum will have everything you need to know in it.

Good luck, Paul.
