Talking

quick update on today's work after measuring 10 times I worked out the grill was an inch to one side so that has been pulled out and glassed back in and the slots have been roughed in each side of the grill,

thought it would look good with an air scoop so a bit of card and tape latter came up with this

I glassed over it then when it was dry pulled it of cut it down and glassed it back on minus the cardboard

hopefully this should be the last sanding down so I will put a bit of primer on to see how it looks

I wasn't going to put vents in the rear end but things change lol, I will see how it looks as things progress it can always be filled back in the beauty of fiberglass

Looking forward to seeing the final result on this one. I think the rear grill vents will add to the final race inspired version you are building.

quick update spent most of the weekend removing the dash ready to fit the new one .there is a lot of work in making up the dash the old top under the window screen needs to cutting off the old one and be bonded onto the new one to keep the air vents. also the sides where the dash bolts onto the body also need cut off and bonded on.
this is a pic is not the best but its of the underside of the new dash with the old vent boneded on

trial fitting of new dash still loads to do i've filled the middle in with a bit of spare fiberglass

I have taken a mould off the top so I can pad it and cover it in leather then stick it back on when the dash is covered. not pretty but it will do the job when its cut down

this stuff is my savior setts in 5 to 10m mins expands setts like rock and can be sanded back what else do you need from a glue. just run out but 12 tubes on the way.
