Check out this website for.. a must for all Lambo fans...

Looks the BIZ!

Have you PM'd Den and John to see about getting it featured in Which Kit and on the site?

Would love to see a test report / feature.

As you've asked, I'll spread the word!

OOOPPPPSSSSSSS!

I wondered what you meant when you said my little error!

I think I see it now. . . . . . . but if it doesn't exist, then it will obviously be featured in there.

Den, mate. How are you this evening, is there anything I can do for you?

I think I need to buy you a beer, don't I?

I wouldn't say that Mark, I spotted it straight away and was scrolling down the page shielding my eyes from what I thought was the inevitable emoticon army...

According to the whois posted on PH, they're based in Oxon so just down the road from me. I'm off up to Scotland for the hols but if no-one else has looked into it when I get back I'll make a few enquiries and see if I can visit.

Perhaps 'rapidproductions' could offer more details than what are on the website and show us some build up pictures.

Ok

Was trying to be helpfull by showing it to you all.

There will bean advert on Which-Kit soon...

Give me an e-mail address to send pictures of build to or tell me how to paste them on here.

As for mating the gearbot to engine...

Automatic jaguar flywheel (with ring gear).. Starter motor is engine side so already attatched to block... 38mm solid spacer (made in house on CNC lathe/milling machine) fits ovet the top and bolts onto crank... Is drilled and tapped to accept the Audi double mass flywheel (which has intergral spigot bearing as opposed to it being in the end of the crank) and then the sandard Audi clutch mates to the gearbox.

The rear of the Jaguar engine (where standard gearbox fits) is 24mm shallower tan the Audi one... therefor the adapter plare is onlr 14mm thick and plasma cut from steel plate before being machined.

The bellhousing diameter on the Audi gearbog is some 17mm smaller than the one of the Jag so no overlap on mounting holes was experienced.

Also the rear of the Jaguar block protrudes beyond the flywheel allowing clearance.

It is not rocket science.

Ok , they're at it again , jumping to conclusions etc.etc.etc. Why noy give them a chance . We all know that it can be done , its just the quality of the job that has to bee seen . Lets not have accusations thrown until there is proof . I think a sence of humour is needed in any small business and only hope Lanbo have as good a sence of humour . I wish them good luck , but know that luck plays only a small part , Its mostly Hard Work!

Would be great if this is legit but I'm sure you can see why people are a bit suspicious - the name doesn't help

I'll be glad to host the pictures and run a news piece on the site if you want to throw some words together. Would be good to see pictures of your premises the manufacturing environment and of course the car itself in various poses. Send them to me at John@madabout-kitcars.com and I'll put it together.

Cheers, John

May I actually apologise for any misunderstanding that has gone on here. I noticed the first actual editorial comment on the car was given to Totalkitcar.

There are some areas of your website that make it look less than legit and you wouldn't be the first to try and do that sort of thing. I do believe the picture of the 'finished' car is actually a library picture from Lamborghini - correct me if I'm wrong.

As I said in my first posting, It does look very nice and I do look forward to seeing a review of the product.

Regarding advertising the car and getting it featured. Are you aware that Kit Car Magazine is the best selling and most read kit magazine in the UK? If you are interested, I would be happy to get Tom (advertising Manager) to contact you or possibly one of the editorial team. Oh yeh, and Kitcarman (on this forum) is the Publisher. PM me or Kitcarman if you want.

I’ve kept out of this one for obvious (to regulars) reasons.

I’d be very interested in the full story. Really!

e-mail me at kitcarman at ntlworld dot com. Please.

If it’s serious I can get a news item into the March issue. If it isn’t , April 1st is but a short distance away .

Den .
