Default Selling Z3 parts on Ebay

Hi all,

Just wondered, for those with Z3 based kits, what kind of money you have made back for all of the unwanted parts.
Any tips like selling as a job lot or only doing as an auction rather than BIN?

Having built an MX5 based kit a few years back I realised around £500 for all of the unwanted parts.

Hi
I got as follows
£115 bonnet
£41 side vents
£40 each for head light assembly
£35 door mirror (broken)
£45 door mirror (some corrosion)
£15 boot
£35 n/s rear wing
£10 o/s rear wing (slight dent)

Items not sold
rear indicator assembly
Front bumper (thrown out damaged)
Rear bumper
Both sills (thrown out rust/damaged)
Both front 1/4 wings (thrown out rust)

If you're posting make sure you charge enough, got caught out on a couple of items.

Nice one.
So if the parts were closer to mint condition you may well be looking at maybe £100 more all in.
Did you sell on ebay and did you have them for sale in an auction or buy it now?

Cheers
Andy

Sold it all on ebay, Bonnet was a 'Buy it now' price the rest was mostly auction but with a starting price of roughly what I expected to get for the items. door mirrors are the most valuable item so careful how you take them off.
I think due to the amount of kits being made the price has probably gone down a bit, compared to MX5's there aren't that many Z3's so market not as buoyant. I made well over £1500 when I stripped a 5, could have made more but needed some parts myself and gave other bits away to friends.

I'm up to £652 with mine. Rear panel, mirrors, sills and fog lights left so far.
All on eBay but mainly BIN as Boston Green is an unusual colour. Seems most people want to replace damaged panels without having to respray- so store the parts carefully.
