Default Approximate Costs for Paint?

How much should I be budgeting in my build for getting the bodywork painted?

There doesn't seem to be a lot of bodywork to paint, so I'm guessing it's not to astronomical - but then again, I've never had a car resprayed or painted before, so I wouldn't know...

Any ideas?

Default paint cost

I had my Sportster painted in Ford Aubergine metallic in 1997 and it cost £900. I believe for a professional job it would now cost up to £2000, I suspect you can probably get it done a lot cheaper but to what standard would it be.

regards Brian.

I've read any where between £1000 and £4000 depending on what level of finish your after. I guess it also comes down to how much preparation you do yourself. I will be looking in the £2000 range I think.

Have you tried out the Madabout build cost estimator to see if it compares to your totals at all?
