As this car still remains unsold we have decided to put in some effort and send it off for paint.

Spent some time bring on the interior.

Also stripped the car and prepped the body for the primer coat.

The finished colour is going to be a shade of "baby blue"

Body is finally flatted-off ready for paint next week.

If all goes to plan it should be listed on E-Bay the weekend.

It's a very hard colour to photograph.

Obviously I like it, as once upon a time that was the colour I had picked for my own car.

Good luck finishing it all off.

Sorted the wheels.

Rim trims £34.99, aluminium disc's £6.80 and the spinners £23.99 so that's a little over£15 per wheel.

Hi micky1mo,

I am going to use the same wheels on my car and I like the aluminium adapters for the spinners you have. I have bought 4 MG type spinners and I was wondering for a while now how to install them. What you did is perfect, so I have a few questions if that's ok.

Did you weld the spinners onto the aluminium discs?
Did you drill the holes in the wheels to attach the discs or did you use the holes that were already on the wheels? Did you cut your own aluminium discs?

Thank you. Deni

Deni the spinners are plastic replica ones that screw on to a supplied cap.
The aluminium discs are pre cut to any size from E-Bay.

Real spinners are very heavy so I think using real spinners will create a lot of problems.

Hi Mike,

Thanks for the advice. Yeah, the spinners are very heavy indeed - I didn't consider that, so good job you've mentioned it. I will have to use the plastic ones too I guess.
Did you glue the cap to aluminium disc? Are the spinners from eBay too?

Cheers.
