Danny – I was actually thinking about your front end on the way to Sainsburys this evening.

I didn't see anything that was a very good match, but these were the best I saw.

Good luck, Paul.

Oops.

OK, in that case it was some random BMW & Mercs.

Did I mention it was dark?

Regarding the bumper, isn't it a matter of cutting a hole to suit the shape and using something like the Merc bumper shown above with DRLs? Or perhaps for a cheaper non-Merc alternative how about a home made solution, particularly if it's to be painted a satin colour. Why not ask Scottie and his one big arm - he's an expert at bumpers. Or ask WCA if you're looking for something with a clock in it

How about modifying one of the custom VW Beetle Porsche style front bumper spoilers from Bodykits.net and adapting it to fit the Kobra ?

y cymro, I dont have the skills to chop holes and make something up, thats why I thought of cutting another bumper up, preferably a fiberglass bodykit style so its easyer.

DSG4ME, That looks ideal for what I need but at $585 its a bit on the expensive side, however thats for the full kit including rear bumper and side skirts so I have just emailed them for a price for just the front bumper.

Some say ,Porsche don't change their cars but its the small tweaks that make the difference. Slightly wider, longer lower, lighter that change the whole feel and response as you drive

I dont have the skills to chop holes and make something up,

The round vents in my bumper are the exact same size as the tins of body filler that Chris uses at Tribute. Strange coincidence?

After bolting on the pointless wing mirrors onto my mx250 that seem only to be used to pass an mot (as I cant see a thing in them!) Ive started looking for wing mirrors that i cut actually see out off for the kobra. I was hoping for somthing from a 'normal everyday car' that i could possibly retain the electric movement inside. I also want them looking carbon fiber!

Came across these, bit pricey thought...

However, i know DNA do a replica 458 so i wonder if they would just sell me a pair of wing mirrors? I tried years ago to buy 360 door cards off them when i was building my Dynamic Performance 360 replica but they told me to sod off! But now im not building a 'rival' kit then maybe!....

I'm in the same boat as you regarding mirrors. I've bought one to try off a 2002 Mini which is electric and looks ok. You can also buy chromed caps if that floats your boat. I can't confirm if it uses standard z3 wiring yet.
And they're available in carbon http://www.mstyle.co.uk/acatalog/info_B08JC001.html

Why can't you see anything out of your mirrors?
I have the slightly extended stalk ones, for the Dino I think, and they are fine. The bullet mirrors were hopeless though.

The bullet mirrors just dont adjust enough and i mounted mine so they looked like they were in the right place and now cant adjust them enough to see anything!

Have a wander through this site Danny. More different front bumpers than you can wave a stick at.

I'm loathe to pull Chris send Dan away from SWB work, but why not commission them to cut/mould some holes for you?
