Default Night Driving in a Spyder

Dont!

At least not down country lanes.....

My engine is running rich atm and so i've been making adjustments and then taking it out for some local runs to see how it works.

Last night i did a late night run in the dark and i can report back that it's a unique and mildly terrifying experience!

The lowness of our cars, how exposed we are as drivers and the fact that other car headlights are level with our rear view mirrors make for a bottom clenching experience and made me glad that i fitted my rear reflectors for that little bit extra.

How have others found it?

not too bad for me but I have driven quite a few low Roadsters and stuff over the years , Model B's , T-buckets etc.
What I really like is a warm night , clear sky and driving decent roads , looking up and around you ....alfresco motoring is quite addictive.

I have been commuting in my Burlington since christmas (herald base), so have been doing night runs. . I tend to have the lights on,even in daylight, and just think back to when I rode bikes...regard every other car as an idiot. Apart from that, its an exciting way to go to work. The best bit is now its sunny is volunteering to nip out to get the milk at lunch!

That's pretty good advice regardless of what you're driving.

Oh, and I seem to remember a quote: there are only two kinds of drivers on the road - incompetent fools who drive slower than me and reckless idiots who drive faster than me...

I'll shut up now.
