Default G46 Number 1

I am posting on behalf of Gaz who is already at Exeter and only has internet access on his phone so couldn't post himself.

He wanted to show the Forum the first photos of a G46 in paint - and, IMO, looks pretty good!

Enjoy...

Every G46 looks like a completely different car. How is that?

It is great to see so many G46's under construction.

But it really does look this this will be the first one finished and colour makes a big difference.

Good luck, Paul.

Congratulations to Gaz on the car looking so good . Now that it is nearly finished i have had an idea for a mod . Would it be possible to standardize the car with flat rear deck . and make the humps separately so that they can be bonded or riveted on either singly or as a double . and might save time with modifying the mould every time to suit what each customer wants .

Its not a bad idea but would create a lot of extra work. At the moment we simply place a rounded insert into the mould to make a round arched car and leave it out to make a square arched car. Also for the humpless cars, the hump is blanked off in the mould which does leave a little scaring but this can be removed quite easily. I like the look of all of the cars being built at the moment and love to see the modifications people are making to there own builds. It also shows me that everybody has there own ideas and plans for what they want their car to look like which gives me a head ache when thinking about standardizing the kit as there isnt a "standard" G46.

Here is a few more pics of my car at Exeter that I havent shared yet

Great to see No1 from different angles, shame it is not on the tarmac.
It still looks big alongside the jag.

I think CT is waiting for that side on shot to see if his relocation of the door was a worthwhile exercise.

Did Tribute nick your screen for their show car?
I am sure I saw a picture with a screen on No1

Are you also off for a holiday like Andy?

I have to believe it was or I will cry!

I am currently fitting the 15" wire wheels (only slave) and have to say there is no perceivable difference between the 14's shown on No1 and ours.

So anybody planning to fit 14" to their G46 don't beat yourself up wishing you had fitted 15"

Also like to see some pictures of it on the ground

HM, no im not going on holiday just yet unfortunatley. I will try to get a side shot of the car on here as soon as possible. There was never a screen on the car, hopefully we can get one on there soon and get your perspex to you also, that will be a priority of mine this next week.

Default Headlight cutouts

From this angle the cutout seems too wide at the top

However, reducing the size of the cutout will make the front wings appear taller and thinner and I quite like the rounded diamond shape.

A few mockups with black card and 7" disks for me, but I suspect CT has already dome that.
