Talking Type-r Lamda sensors

Got me sensors today £80 for both off a 2006 type-r I guy was breaking with only 398 miles on the clock that was on ebay a couple of weeks ago, so as new fully intact!

Engine would of been a cracker if I didn't already have one

Do you know if they are zirconia, or titania sensors?

Craig,

I'm not sure exactly how to tell a zirconia sensor from a titania sensor. The reason I asked, is that after a cursory glance at the sensors (damaged unforunately) that were on my donor I assumed from the wiring colours (black, grey, and 2 x white) that they are zirconia narrowband sensors. On the assumption the type-r needs zirconia narrowband sensors I was going to buy a couple @ £30 a pop. That you've paid £80 for two secondhand, made me wonder if they're titania sensors...... not that I know they're more expensive, I just thought that if they are, that would explain your purchase.

Cheers,

John.

John, Jerry priced them at Honda and they are £250 each!

I have one long one which is black and green and one short one which is all white

I have a suspicion, going on the standard wiring colours, that they are boggo zirconia narrowband sensors, and that Honda are again charging exobitant prices for stock products.

Every component I've bought from Honda has been incredibly expensive, compared to comparable products for other brands of car.
