Red face Electronic speedometer.... 'Slotted Disk'

Hi guys
I’ve recently brought race tech electronic speedometer.

It has a magnetic pick up and requires a steel disk with a number of slots to read the vehicles speed.

Basically I just wondered if anyone knows of a company that’s able to make me a 'one of' disk with a certain number of slots in it??

Cheers
Tom

Try trigger wheels, they mainly do engine trigger wheels but I think theygave branched out a little. Other options include using an abs ring on your driveshaft or bonding some metal lugs onto the driveshaft or other rotating part. If you have 2 piece discs you can use the bolt heads as the trigger lugs if you can get the sensor in there safely

You colud try ETB instruments. http://www.etbinstruments.com/,

I would have thought that you should be able to calibrate the speedo regardless of the number of slots, as it should be adjustable for different tyre sizes/ diff ratios etc.

Thanks for the replies

The Speedo can be calibrated however from what race parts told me it can only be calibrated so far.

It requires a disk with basically the right number of slots for the tyre size and diff ratio.

I am panning on fitting the disk around the prop shaft flange from the gearbox. I therefore need it to have the correct number of slot and also be a certain size.

I’ll give both suggested company a call. I knew about ETB but not that they made ‘slotted disks’

Once again
Thanks for your help

Cheers
Tom

Default electonic speedometer

or try speedy cables, several years ago they changed a mechanical speedo to electronic for me and supplied the magnetic pick ups also.
