Default FANTASTIC F250 recreation

While for business in HongKong and China, I had the opportunity to meet with Patrick and Michel, the two founders of http://www.automobileaddiction.com/. They launched an amazing recreation of an 1960s F250 convertible in kit form. I visited their facilities where they produce the kits. The quality of the fiberglass body is the best I've seen yet. The overall shape is very very close to the original, the dashboard is a separate molding that has a perfect ft to the body. All that not too surprising given that Patrick has been in plastic molding all his life. Michel knows a couple of things too about kit cars, he started a club in the US that grew to 150 members, and build many himself.

The chassis is a space frame that looks strong enough to about any type of engine, gearbox and suspension. The reference donor they recommend is a very affordable Nissan Z300 (they told me it can take other donors too, Mustang and corvette I believe, but not 100% sure). The chrome/StainlessSteel parts are completely redone and designed to be a close as possible to the original (including fantastic flush body door handles).

The body comes completely finished and painted in your choice of color, of course with all fitting for doors, hood and booth done... If only the Cobra I am currently building had been completed, I would have ordered a F250 on the spot...

To be honest, I was completely blown away by the craftmanship and attention to detail. Not the mention the enthusiasm both gentlemen radiate...

So, more than worth visiting at least their web site
