Question Fuel Tank

Hi from a complete newbie
I have just bought my first Westfield,I have great trouble filling with petrol,
fuel just won't flow without the pump shutting of.
Is this a common fault ?. Is there a breather on the tank that could be blocked?

Thanks Les

Not got a Westie myself but you may find that altering the angle of the nozzle or rotating it in the filler eg effectively upsidedown, will help the flow. My Shelsley has problems filling if you just put the nozzle in straight but if you angle it sideways it fills ok.
