Default Mazda MX5 Rebody Design

I've always liked the Aston Martin Gt4 Zagato, and after having seen the RETROFORZA bolt-on rebody for the Mx5, a friend told me I should work on something similar......

Influenced by the GTZ , I sketched a few retro inspired, very rough drawings, on an Mx5 image overlay....

What do you guys think?, too retro maybe? Coupe?

I dont think it's too retro with regard inspiration from the Aston Martin GT4 Zagato, I would say it was more Exige...especially the front. Not to take it away though, its an agressive modern design, although judging by the scale of things would say it was more Elise/Exige size.

Just my 2p.

John,
it's just a very rough sketch, but I will rework it in more detail with more views, and post it as a complete project later.

I like the Exige, and didn't notice the influence until you pointed it out to me, but I like the mix of an Aston with an Exige, a Retro and modern design that nobody has thought of yet, until now I didn't either............!!

Thanks for the feedback, you have a very good eye for details.

Italo

Looks wicked!

Like the top glass area of post #7

The back end of Retro 2 (post #6) is more agressive (I like that).

But I like the front & rear looks from the last one (post #8)

But that's just what I like.

Actually the best front end is the first one (post #4).

The other look too sad, except #7 which looks too fun & happy. #4 is serious and purposeful

I guess then that, the first sketch on post n°1 is still the winner, eventhough I tried to experiment a little, the muscular look of the first sketch, comes through the last.

Ideally a mix between the first and last sketch , but still not sure on the rear design direction......

This was the last sketch, end of the project....thanks for the feedback guys......

Ciao
Italo
